Where you go, I will follow you, says the old song and it could well be written about a magnetic quality that some people or things have, like the fabled Pied Piper. Do diamond rings have the same kind of haunting quality? Women will say Yes and it is true that they hold an almost mystical appeal for women. Now is this programmed thanks to everything we read and hear about diamonds or do they speak to the subconscious and get a woman completely hooked? It's hard to really say and we have to admit that it's probably a combination of both.

Women fall prey to suggestion and innuendo and so it has been with diamonds. They have been whispered about, they have been in the centre of court and national intrigues, they have a fire that lights up any women's heart and they are expensive. All these are characteristics that can be added up to sum up why diamonds and diamond rings in particular have this hold over women. There will be women who tell you that diamonds speak to them with their flashing and you know what? Look at any women looking at a diamond and you might just admit that it could be a possibility - there's a communion between the two even as the woman falls under the spell of its dazzle.
